Terms of Use
Last updated: July 27, 2026
1. The service
RoastMyOpsec provides defensive, consent-based OPSEC hygiene checks against URLs you submit (website or application surfaces). Findings are educational and satirical in tone. They are not a penetration test, legal advice, compliance certification, or a guarantee that a target is secure.
2. Authorization & acceptable use
By starting a scan you represent that you own the target or have explicit permission to audit it. You will not use RoastMyOpsec to probe systems without authorization, to harass others, to violate law, or to attempt exploitation. We block private/localhost targets and do not ship exploit payloads.
3. Free audit & paid unlock
The free audit returns a limited set of findings and a score. Additional deep insights may be offered behind a one-time unlock (currently listed as USD $19). The paid package currently includes the deep vault report and a Discord community month valued at USD $5, included free (one month). Discord access is a promotional membership perk bundled into the unlock — not a separate subscription billed by us; continuation after the included month may require a separate community arrangement. Prices and packaging may change. Optional GitHub deepen requires you to grant temporary access and is subject to GitHub's terms as well as ours.
4. Leaderboard & publication
Free scans may publish a sanitized hostname and score to a public leaderboard. Do not submit targets you are not comfortable appearing in that context.
5. Accuracy & liability
Scans are automated heuristics. False positives and false negatives happen. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoastMyOpsec and its operators are not liable for damages arising from use of the service, reliance on findings, or inability to access the service. The service is provided "as is."
6. Payments
Paid unlocks are processed by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe). Chargebacks for completed unlocks after delivery of digital findings may be refused where lawful.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
